By default, MarketLink for Salesforce moves a Contact from one Account to another when the underlying rep changes firms. Once a rep's firm association is changed in ISS - Institutional Shareholder Services, the Contact is moved to the new Account in Salesforce during the next Synchronization Job. If the rep’s new firm is a not an Account in Salesforce, a new Account is created. If you use Lead Management, the Company and Firm CRD are updated to the new firm when movement occurs.
If rep movement is disabled for your organization, Contacts and Leads no longer in the financial services industry or no longer with the associated firm will be updated to the ISS - Institutional Shareholder Services Status Inactive. The rep will come back into your CRM system as a new record associated with its current firm if the firm meets the target market your Salesforce Administrator has defined within ISS - Institutional Shareholder Services MarketLink Audience Criteria. Your Salesforce Administrator will share with you more specifics regarding this part of the app.

Please note that MarketLink for Salesforce does not support cross-channel movement from BD to RIA and vice versa. These types of movements will have to be managed in a separate process outside of MarketLink for Salesforce.
