It is very common for reps to move from one Broker Dealer to another Broker Dealer. When this takes place, many firms like to take their internal Contact record and move it to another Account, especially if the move is to another Broker Dealer in their target market.
Any record in which you see a “D” in the "DeltaType" field means the rep is no longer BD Registered with that firm. If that Rep is in your CRM, you will want to investigate if they moved to another firm. If you see the same Rep CRD in that call with an “N”, it means they newly joined a Broker Dealer. These two records in the same call request would result in a BD to BD move.
Please note, if the “N” record appears at a Broker Dealer that your firm does not target, you may want to mark that Rep as “Inactive” or “No Longer a Target” instead of moving them. If the “D” record is the only record for that rep in your call, please note there may have been a delay in capturing the new BD that they moved to or they could have left the BD channel and are now only an RIA, in this case you should consider calling the RIA Rep dataset for that CRD to identify if they are Active. This process should be used for all Inactive Reps as over time Reps do become active again and it could help reduce duplicates.
